Meetings on September 4 and 11

In these two meetings the Boulder Bay project in Crystal Bay was discussed. The presentation on September 4 was by several realtors that have offices nearby and have questions about the project and would like to see some changes. The presentation on September 11 was by the developers of the project. It was quite informative to hear both sides of some of the issues. The feeling after hearing both sides is that they will come together and resolve the disputes. Look for this project to begin construction in spring of 2010 if all goes according to schedule.

This Week

We will be dark because of Sink ‘em and Hold ‘em on Thursday night. All Rotarians are expected to participate in some way because we are a major sponsor of this event.

Hyatt Donation

During the month of October, the Hyatt will offer a special drink in the bar at the Lone Eagle. It is a pumpkin martini. Between the hours of 4:00pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday nights, twenty percent of the proceeds from these drinks will be donated to our club. This could be a huge donation for us, so if martinis are your drink of choice, please support our club and visit the Hyatt on these nights next month.
