Rotary Club of Tahoe-Incline

Meeting on June 26

This was the big auction. Geno reported that we made over $4,600 for the Geno fund. The auction items for next year are already pouring in. We said goodbye to two long time contributing members of our club, Doug Driver and Bill Horn. They will both be missed.

Duck Race July 3

The duck race was a huge success again thanks to the hard work of our members and the members of the Incline Village Rotary Club. We sold 2050 ducks. Bob Mimiaga had the winning duck and he generously donated his $1,000 to the Children’s Cabinet.

Meeting on July 10

We welcomed in our new president, Gary Lee, and said good-bye to Bob Ellsworth. Our new program chair, Bill Ferrall, did not start off the year well, because his program with Joy Michelle got cancelled at the last minute because Joy had gout. Gary rescued Bill by inviting two of our newest members to give their introductory talks.

First we heard from Bill Ferrall about his many deviations and sidesteps before landing in the mortgage business and his luck in finding Kristen when he was finally ready to settle down and have a family.

Next we heard from Randy Adkins. Randy has been a techie in the telecommunications industry in a past life and has lived all over the West. He started a handyman business in Incline Village so that he and his wife could relocate here last year.
