ROTARY CLUB 2012 - 2013 CONTRIBUTIONS

During its last fiscal year (2012-2013), the Rotary Club of Tahoe-Incline contributed approximately $20,000 to charities and other organizations in the Incline Village area and for programs for local youths.
 

 

The organizational recipients included:
  • The Science Expo at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences
  • Troop 37 of the Boy Scouts of America
  • Project Mana
  • Tahoe Safe Alliance
  • Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation
  • Tahoe Family Solutions
  • Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe
 
The programs benefitting local youth included:
  • Sponsorship of 2 local teens at the Rotary Youth Leadership A
  • Sponsorship of a Rotary Youth Exchange student from Brazil
  • Sponsorship and prizes for the Rotary Area 3 Speech and Music Contest
  • Scholarships for 2 Incline High School 2013 graduates, and continued funding for past scholarship recipients
 
The Club funded these contributions through 3 primary fund raisers:
  • Christmas Tree Sales
  • RWTB Duck Sales
  • Raffle
2012-2013 Club President, Jim O’Brien said: “The Rotary Club of Tahoe-Incline is deeply indebted to residents and visitors of Incline Village for supporting these worthy causes by participating in our fund raisers.  Our members spend hundreds of hours each year at the Christmas tree lot, at the duck sales booth, and selling raffle tickets in order to raise the funds for all the good we do in the community.  We truly appreciate everyone who bought a tree, a racing duck or a raffle ticket from our Club.”
