BOOKER T. JONES

Booker T. Jones recently spoke at the breakfast meeting of the Rotary Club of Tahoe-Incline regarding his development as a musician.  Jones was front man for Booker T. and the M.G.’s, who had hits like “Green Onions” and “Hang ‘Em High” among others.  Since then, Jones has continued writing, playing, producing, recording and touring.  In June, 2013, he released his 10th album, “Sound The Alarm.”
 
Jones was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2007.  He was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.  He and his wife recently moved to Incline Village.
